About Luton Vale Crematorium
The Vale Cemetery and Crematorium, which opened in 1959, is a peaceful and tranquil place of remembrance in Stopsley, Luton. Set within beautifully maintained grounds, The Vale provides a calm and dignified environment for families to remember and celebrate the lives of their loved ones.
The site offers two chapels, the larger Oak Chapel, which accommodates up to 120 people for cremation services, and the smaller Cedar Chapel, which is available for both cremation and burial services. The Vale also provides a range of memorial options, including sanctum vaults for the interment of ashes, a memorial garden, books of remembrance and memorial plaques.
New Luton Cemetery Extension Providing 7,000 Additional Peaceful Burial Spaces
An extension opened in 2024, providing approximately 7,000 additional grave spaces and creating a further peaceful area for burial within the surrounding green space. The cemetery is conveniently located for Luton and the surrounding areas, including Hitchin, Stevenage and Letchworth.
