With great sadness, the family announce the passing of David Power of Abbotsley, St Neots, on 1st June 2026 whilst residing at The Old Vicarage Care Home.
Beloved husband of Margaret, devoted father of Tina and Steven, and proud grandad of Lexi and Charlie.
David was a man who believed in hard work, loyalty and providing for those he loved. Throughout his working life he helped build some of the region’s most significant projects, including Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the A1. His greatest legacy, however, was the homes he built for his own family and the values he passed on to future generations.
A quiet, unassuming man, David found happiness in simple things – family gatherings, a hearty fried breakfast, and the comfort of home.
David’s Funeral Service will be held on Friday 3rd July 2026 at 2.00pm at St Margaret’s Church, Abbotsley, followed by interment in the churchyard.
All are welcome afterwards at The Eight Bells, Abbotsley.
Donations for the Activities Fund at The Old Vicarage Care Home may be given at the service.
