In Loving Memory of Katherine “Katie” Von Tersch
Who passed away at home on Saturday, 6th September 2025
With broken hearts, we share the passing of Katherine “Katie” Von Tersch, who left us far too soon but leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and unforgettable memories.
Katie was the devoted partner of Wayne, sharing a bond built on love, laughter, and unwavering support. She was the beloved daughter of Ray and Jan, and a proud and loving mum to Jordan. She was also a Nan to Oscar.
Katie was a treasured sister to Michaela and Andi, and a caring step-mum to Perrie, Rosie, and Vicky. She was also a loved daughter-in-law to Carol and Brian. Her life was centred around family and the many she cared for so deeply.
She was also a devoted “mummy” to her beloved furry babies: Kimmie, Viv, Tootsie, Bubba, and many more over the years, each one held dearly in her heart.
Katie had a voice that carried – not just in sound, but in presence. When she entered a room, she lit it up. When she spoke, people listened. She had that rare, beautiful ability to make everyone feel like they mattered.
A funeral service to celebrate Katie’s life will take place on Friday, 10th October 2025 at 11:30am at Bedford Crematorium, Norse Road, followed by burial at Marston Moreteyne Parish Cemetery.
Family and friends are warmly invited to join the family after the service at The King William, Kempston, to continue sharing memories and celebrating Katie’s life.
Family flowers only, please. Donations can be made at the service in Katie’s memory to support Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust for Laryngectomy Cancer and Dementia UK – two causes close to her and her family’s hearts.
Her beautiful eyes shone with love, her smile could brighten any day, and her energy was a gift to all who knew her. Katie’s presence filled every space with warmth and joy, and her memory will forever live on in our hearts
Forever in our hearts.
